Re: Adobe Creative Cloud

I'm still waiting to hear Adobe's reply regarding use of the Creative Cloud for companies that deal with confidential or proprietary information. The cloud model seems to be a potential giant prohibiter of such companies upgrading to newer versions of Adobe software. I really don't think Adobe full...

Re: Adobe Creative Cloud

Hi James, I have had a subscription for over a year. The first year I got a deal for being early on the scene ($39/month). After the year it went to $50/month. Even at $50/month it is still cheaper than upgrading every year, or very close. The benefit is that you get almost all of their software - i...

Re: Post Your Workspace!

Hi Guys just thought I would share my work space with you. This is one side of my studio. That monitor looks small in the image but it is actually a 30" dell screen and a mac pro under the desk. Been using it for around 5 years now, day and night and not one bit of trouble (touch wood). The other i...

Re: Post Your Workspace!

My updated space. Still the same old mess as before, but different computer, different monitors, different printers from before. I also added a battery backup which has saved me angry outbursts many times since I purchased it. $250 well spent. I'd love to get a new keyboard but have yet to see one t...

Re: New Work

Something slightly different: An animated infographic that I produced for a photography course I was teaching a little while ago. 2.5 mins, no audio. It introduces the concept of f-numbers. It's designed to be read - so it's fairly slow paced. As James mentioned in an iPad related post a few months...

Re: New Work

Here are a few shots of a project from last summer. I did 226 illustrations in total for The Homeowner's Energy Handbook, a DIY guide to reducing your energy usage and becoming energy-independent. It was a busy few months! What a great project James. I bet that was a lot of fun. Hopefully you had e...

Re: New Work

I did this shock 'illustration' after seeing the one posted on Jim's website. I created this one as a 3D model in TurboCAD and tweaked just a bit in Photoshop. Hi Don, That is really cool! You 3d guys scare me you are going to take over the world! Jim I think you are safe Jim. Your work is amazing ...
