Re: Perspective question

Hi Matt, Yes - I'm sure a cube van would be much easier :) - but I'd recommend you shoot for your helicopter - push your skills. It's a great way to learn. It is a tough subject - in either 2D or 3D - and probably a similar amount of work either way. As James says there's hardly a straight line in i...

Anything we can do to help?

I'm desperate to see technical illustrators.org and this forum more active - I don't want to loose it. Is there anything I, or any other members could do to help? There's not been a postfor quite some time.

Regards,

Mike

Make sure you take a look at the main blog http://technicalillustrators.org - there are lots of very useful posts for you to review. Enjoy - and as Don says, it would be good to see some of your work. Best,...

Re: Portfolio Websites

I stepped into the Wordpress world just a few months ago. So far so good. I did look at a couple of other options such as Squarespace but decided to go with Wordpress (self hosted). I'd previously used Dreamweaver to build sites for myself and a few clients, but I'm certainly no web guy and always f...

Intuos5 - mini review

Hi all, About a week or so after having seen the new Intuos 5 at an exhibition - and held off buying, my pen died on my Intuos 2. So I now have a new Intuos 5 on my desk. Here are some initial thoughts in case anyone's thinking of buying: Overall - feels well constructed and solid in the usual Wacom...

Re: Autocad Tutorials

Hi Steven, I'm afraid I can't offer you any direction on the AutoCAD front, but I was wondering why you're going that for 3D work, is it choice or is it coming your way for some other reason? I'm just curious as I've no experience with it, but have always thought of it as more as being more oriented...

Re: The Future of this Forum?

I don't visit often, but I guess my visit today was timely. I really appreciate the existence of this forum - and the main site. Thanks for all your work todate. For info and chat on tech illustration, I really don't know of any other location on the web that comes close. I hope you can find some wa...
