Artist Inspiration outside of Technical Illustration

I was wondering what artists some of you find inspirational outside of Technical Illustration work.
I am always drawing inspiration and learning different approaches from other technical illustrators like Jim Hatch and James Provost (both here on the site ), but I also am always looking at work of artists who do nothing close to what we do, but still have much to learn from. I often am learning of new approaches, techniques, and uses of color that I would not normally think of or necessarily find in technical illustration. And sometimes this inspiration can be used to better my craft as a technical illustrator. One artist I find inspiring recently, for example, is a vector artist by the name of LimKis http://limkis.deviantart.com/ Her use of color and luminescence is crazy and elements of that I believe will help me think in broader terms of the color palette and use of light I may or may not use in future works. It is not to say that I will emulate her style as it is not technical illustration, but nevertheless it is helpful in terms of me "think outside the box." So I am curious to see some of the artists outside of technical illustration you draw inspiration from to help you grow as a technical illustrator. And maybe as another discussion we could talk about the technical illustrators we find most inspirational and why. I am always open to finding out about other artists, whether technical illustrators or not, as most of the time there is something to be learned from in their work.
